I was looking for a carrier that would be suitable for a newborn without requiring any inserts (like the Ergo which everyone raved about but hated the newborn inserts) as well as light weight and breathable (the Baby Bjorn seemed like it would be heavy and sweaty plus I had heard it really hurts your back). My son is still too small to use any position aside from Kangaroo, and so far, it is not working for us. I live in a very hot and humid climate, and with him completely enclosed like a pouch inside the carrier, we were both sweating and turning red shortly after exiting the A/C. In addition, he always seems to be slipping down my chest (which drives him and me nuts) and his little feet turn red from being pressed up against the mesh at weird angles. I don't know how people control how their baby goes in to prevent that. I think that maybe it would work for a fresh newborn who still wants to be in a fetal position, but my son (6 weeks, almost 11 lbs.) is already wanting to stretch...Read more

I had hoped that this baby carrier would work for us. We have a home made moby and the carry options are similar in this but you don't have to do any tying. It's just so dang hot here that I was looking for something more breathable to keep baby and me cool. In theory this is a great carrier but it just didn't work for us. My daughter screamed every time I put her in it. I don't think the mesh fabric was too comfortable for her since there wasn't as much give as the cotton/jersey fabric has. You can use the cotton side of this, but that defeats the point of it being a "cool" carrier. All in all, I was disappointed that this didn't work out.
