Made of Safe, Comfortable, Non-toxic Materials
All fabrics and materials used in BABYBJÖRN Baby Carriers that come into contact with baby's skin are Öeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certified, an international safety standard for textiles, and contain no health-hazardous substances. This means that during your baby's teething phase, you can allow your baby to nibble or suck on the fabric without worry.
The 100% cotton fabric feels soft to your baby's cheeks, won't irritate sensitive skin, and is machine washable.

In both cases, the carrier's firm, adjustable head support allows babies to remain safe and secure in the carrier. Plus, the shape of the carrier positions your baby's legs in a spread-out, ergonomically-correct crouching posture that is recommended by pediatricians.
Adjustable to Growing Baby
The carrier's sliding buckle allows you to accommodate your baby as he or she grows in size. The minimum size requirement for use is 8 pounds and 21 inches and the maximum weight limit is 25 pounds. For your additional comfort and safety, the back and shoulder straps can be easily adjusted from the front to custom fit your body.
Innovative Two-Piece Design for Ease of Use
The unique two-piece design makes it simple for you to place your baby in the carrier unassisted. And if your baby falls asleep in the carrier, the two-piece design allows you to remove the front to lay the baby down without waking him or her up. You can also unhook one side for discreet nursing in the carrier. The strong, well-designed latches click securely and release easily with one hand.

The Bjorn is definitely the best looking and easiest to use. The clips and connectors are very intuitive and it's easy to get smaller infants into it. My big complaint is that when the kids get larger (or if you wear it for more than 20 minutes at a time) it really starts to kill your back. This is because the design keeps all the weight on your shoulders. It's like wearing a backpack BACKWARDS! The "Active" version has wider straps which provide additional support for a small improvement over the "Original," but it still puts all the weight on your shoulders, pulling them forward. If you only plan to use this when grocery shopping and think you'll give it up when they're 6 months old, this might be for you. If you think you might want to go to the park and hang out, or use it even when the kid starts to crawl, then the...Read more 14 of 14 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: BABYBJÖRN Baby Carrier Original - Pink, Spirit (Baby Product) Greatest product ever! My son lived in his Classic from 8 lbs until he was approximately 28 pounds (1 1/2 years old). We went on daily walks for 1-3 hours at a time. He could sleep in it & breastfeed in it. Having him close to me really strengthened our bond- rather than having him in a stroller. It was also really easy to use. I was devastated when he was too big for it. I tried to move over to the Ergo, but found it to be way more complicated to get on & off and also found it not to be comfortable. I also tried a wrap system, which was comfortable, but which took ages to get on & off, and which had tons of material that ended up being wrapped around you which was too hot. I really missed the simplicity of being able to whip my son in or out of the Bjorn in seconds. When I was pregnant with my 2nd child, my friend gave me a new Active Bjorn. I was really excited about the new Bjorn, but when I put my infant daughter in it, I was horrified at how uncomfortable it was. I also didn't...Read more 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: BABYBJÖRN Baby Carrier Original - Green, Spirit (Baby Product) My little one is a cuddler and starts howling the minute I put her down, which was cute at first, but after awhile the novelty wore off and getting things done around the house became impossible. I bought the Moby wrap after reading all of the reviews on it with high hopes of using it all of the time. While I have used it and my babe does like to be in it- it is such a pain in the butt to use for short instances or after car rides, when due to the sheer amount of fabric and complex wrapping makes it not worth the trouble- plus it is impossible to keep it off of the ground- which I feel is gross and unsanitary. It is a great solution to put on at home and then wear on walks, but I was looking for a more practical, easier to use option. I looked at every possible version of the Baby Bjorn and Ergo. I chose this option because my baby was too small to go into the new Bjorn comfort option and the I didn't like how the Ergo needed the infant insert, as well as it didn't offer the...Read more |
