This review is from: Beco Baby Gemini Carrier In Espresso (Baby Product) I looked online at reviews for many different soft structured carriers. I had tried the front carriers like baby bjorn but those are not useful once baby gets heavy, so for my 10 month old who weighs 20 pounds I wanted a back carrier. I looked into Ergo also but because the Beco Gemini also does hip carry, front outward/inward carry, in addition to back carry so I chose the Gemini. I hadn't known anyone who had it but decided to buy and I think it was a a good choice. My 10 month old at first was nervous and fussy because he had never been in a back carrier. But after walking him around it a few times he now loves it, smiles, and is so comfortable that he falls alseep while in back carry mode. I also have an infant and like the choice to have infant face inward in front carry (without infant insert like other carriers) and later have chance to do front facing out with my infant too. My 10 month old is very happy/comfortable in it, the gemini is lightweight but feels very sturdy and...Read more 10 of 11 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Beco Baby Gemini Carrier In Espresso (Baby Product) I've been wrapping (Sleepy Wrap Classic Wrap Baby Carrier, Gray, 0-18 Months) my 4.5-month-old daughter for a while now, but my husband and mother-in-law take care of her from time to time and don't feel comfortable with my stretchy wrap. I knew the "crotch dangler" style of baby carrier is thought to be bad for babies' hips and backs, so we started looking at soft structured carriers. The Ergo looked great, but very bulky. My mother-in-law and I are 5'2" and thin, and we didn't want to be swamped by a carrier. This one is streamlined, while still packing all of the standard features.
Putting it on is as easy as putting on a backpack and adjusting the straps. The adjustments are easy to do one-handed. I have no trouble getting my daughter in and out when I'm home alone with her. She finds it so comfortable that she fell...Read more 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Beco Baby Gemini Carrier In Espresso (Baby Product) I had the Bjorn Synergy, moby wrap, sling and now the Beco all before the baby was 3 months. My baby did not like the Bjorn at all. I liked the moby just for the first month--and if you're out and untie it, it's a bit annoying to wrap back since the fabric is so long. The sling works in the house but the Beco is the BEST!! It's super easy to put on and off, the baby is comfortable and you don't need a separate infant insert--you just snap the bottom part back and it's for newborns. It has a great built in head rest but at 3 months my baby wants to look around so I already folded it down. I'm thrilled my friend recommend this to me as I was going to get the Ergo. Both the baby and I get warm quickly (she was born in June in NYC) and I found this carrier to be comfortable even in warm weather. Also, it has great back support--I have a weak back and this does not hurt me at all. Just make sure to keep the baby really snug and you won't feel a thing on your back. Good luck! |
