I resisted buying this for a long time, questioning whether it was really necessary. I always figured that if it was so important, Britax would've sold it along with the carrier itself. Well, our daughter was over the weight limit for the infant insert and with an overseas travel pending, I figured to finally give in and give it a try. Worse comes to worse, I would've just returned it and at least satisfy the curiosity.

Upon receiving it though I could immediately tell the difference in weight distribution. The carrier was already pretty comfortable to begin with but with this extender it gets even better! Our daughter seems a lot more comfortable in it too! The fact that it doesn't add more bulk to the carrier is also a plus - looks a lot sleeker than other carriers, in my opinion.

It's a bit of a pain that Britax doesn't just sell this along with the carrier but for $20+, it's not too bad. Well worth all the money given how often we use the carrier and how...Read more
