5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't be better !!!, November 7, 2007

We used for our last Vacations arround Europe with our 2.5 years old / 18 kg child. It is definitiviley the perfect companion when travelling with babies. We also bought the neck pillow and our baby had great naps while mommy and myself keep visiting places (museums, ruins, churches, etc).

At the beginning our baby felt a little bit affraid because he felt he was very high, but once he realized he was (again) the center of attraction he enjoyed a lot the trip. If you wrap it before check it in at the airline counter it will arrive intact.

I was who carried him all the time and I never felt bad in my back. Sometimes we had 3/4 hour walking and it was very comfortable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Times on the Trail, November 10, 2010

This review is from: Deuter Kid Comfort I (Misc.)
Our 10-month baby's maiden voyage in this carrier was a 12-mile hike in the Smokey Mountains. She was happy, took a few short naps and even grabbed at the leaves on the trees. My husband, about 5'9", wore the pack and said that it was similar to a 25lb backpacking pack, except maybe a little less comfortable on the hips. The storage area had plenty of room for a few diapers&wipes, two bottles, formula container, a banana, container of baby food and a few more odds and ends. I carried water and food for my husband and me separately. Overall I think this product is wonderful for day hiking, and I am glad that we got the Kid Comfort I. I looked at the Kid Comfort II and III as well as the comparable Kelty products, and I am happy that I stuck to the light and basic model of the Comfort I. The reason I did not give this 5 stars is: The frame is too long if you are under 5'1" so I wasn't able to make it work for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars marvelous, May 3, 2010

My son and I both love this backpack. It took a bit of time to get the fit right, but was worth the effort. It's incredibly comfortable and lets us get out and about in the spring weather where a stroller couldn't go.
