Warm and soft, easy to put on and keeps baby warm without needing a snow suit. Used last winter for our then 6 month old, a wee bit long on his torso but we were able to cinch up the feet to keep him warm and snuggly :). Also purchased the waterproof cover that snaps over the fleece cover and found they worked very well like a winter coat and shell for our little guy and his outdoorsy parents had a great winter snowshoeing and exploring our winter wonderland in VT!

I currently live in Germany and had my son during the winter months ordering the cover was the best thing ever. I had major issues keeping his feet warm until I got the cover. Once we had the cover on and went out everything was nice and toasty. The only down side was the buttons to snap it on were not *that* easy to do one handed and impossible to get your other arm around the baby to snap. My baby spends more time in the Ergo than any other stroller/seat/carrier and if you live in a cold weather area this is a must in my opinion ! Happy Walking !
Worth the extra money,

I'm a big fan of the Ergo. My son is almost 8 months and he's been in a stroller exactly four times - not that I'm a super militant baby wearer; I just find wearing baby more convenient than strollers. I live in a rainy city so some kind of cover is a must. I bought a cheaper brand, too (Infantino) and this Ergo one is better quality and fit. The Infantino one is like a thin sweatshirt whereas this one is like a thin fleece (think North Face). I use the fleece liner with the rain cover when it's cold and my boy stays so snuggly; I use the rain cover alone when the weather's more mild but wet. Figuring out the snaps is takes a few minutes, but the fit is so nice and I've walked in downpours and the boy stays totally warm and dry and he seems to like it.
