Hotsling--Very 'airy' and cool (i have the beach version) and u can cradle baby when very young or in hip carry VERy easily and VERY sylish. My hotsling actually makes ME look better when I wear it lol. Everyone asks me where I got it. Only for small outtings, like mall or grocery shopping, walks in the park. nothing like a hiking sling though, too much strain on the shoulder. I love my hotsling for walks. Ergo baby--Its very supportive and is a little easier than a snuggli i had 4 years ago (i never figured it out and never wore it more than once, it was strappy, ugly and complicated). The ergo though, to me, seems better for babies a little older. My 8 month old is petite and ahs trouble keeping her head and arms up or she is blinded and wants to see so she fights and cries. What's really nice is the fact that early on, the baby (facing you) is comforted by your heartbeat and smell. This, I am told, helps facilitate the parent-child bond mentally for both sides. Later on, you can face your child outward and he/she can visually engage with the environment. |
