Editorial Reviews

Ah, "le bébé sac." This carrier will hold Baby closer than any other sack this side of Mali--and even there it takes a 6-foot long wrap to do the same job. The Snugli City Sport features several carrying and seating positions, as well as ample head and neck support. Padded torso and shoulder straps make transporting baby (7-26 lbs.) more convenient. Other details: a zippered pocket; ventilated seat, removable lumbar support; and durability. It's a lightweight, state of the art "toter" designed to be a help, not hinder. --Diane Beall

Summary: excellent backpack, terrible front carrier 2007-01-12
Comment: if your child is too heavy to be carried in the front anymore or you just want the freedom to cook, lift, or carry anything, this is the product for you. the backpack feature is great. i use it on long walks or hikes and at the store. the only drawbacks for the backpack are ease of use and quality/design of the securing devices. i have a baby bjorn and it is so easy to use and secure. this product's side clips can easily slide out of position and it is difficult to get the baby in. also, it totally sucks as a front carrier. it either feels like it is going to slide off my shoulders or the baby will slip out, so it is not very comfortable or comforting to use as a front carrier. the waist/back strap is difficult to secure as well.

Summary: Excellent - a must have for any parents 2005-10-19
Comment: We bought this product for our trip to New York with our 3 month old baby. It is absolutely brilliant. Our baby loved sitting facing forward and watching the business of the city, then when she tired, she faced inward and happily fell asleep. The shoulder padding and upper back strap take all the weight off you. Fully recommended - it is money well spent and will save you carrying a buggy up and down all those subway station stairs.

Summary: No complaints 2005-10-13
Comment: I love this carrier. It's neutral colors will work for a boy or girl. The top part of the carrier zips away when carrying baby facing out. This is my favorite feature. Our 6 month old son chewed on all of the other carriers we tried on. The zip away feature keeps him from doing this and allows him a better view. I have never felt like the carrier would fall off. On the contrary, my husband and I think it is very comfortable and stable (especially for the price). There are lots of small zippered pockets which come in handy as well. I have no complaints with this carrier.

Summary: Serves the purpose but could be a lot better! 2005-09-01
Comment: I wasn't able to really use this with my daughter until she was 10 weeks old because the leg openings are really far apart and even now I feel that they are still too far apart. When I take her out of it, she has red marks on her little thighs. While in it though, she's content. She really enjoys being close to me while I walk around while doing chores or just going from place A to B but I am really concerned about the width that her legs are spread while in it and the damage it may be causing to her legs and spine. In reading another review, I also agree that the carrier feels like it's going to fall off because it does not criss cross in the back. I have narrow shoulders and while I'm sure it's really secure, the feeling of it falling off or baby falling out is constantly present. Another review commented on the removable restraints on each side that slide up and down - that when baby gets a little weight around the middle, it is really difficult to open and close them and I agree - it makes it really burdensome to get baby in and out of the carrier. It works but it could be a lot better. This type of product is worth spending a little more money on because it affects baby's spine and legs. We may not have to buy the Baby Bjorn but I'm not sure if there's a comparable item in quality for less the cost. If anyone knows, let me in on the secret!

Comment: I really love this carrier! My son really enjoys being close to me or my husband, and this has become a life saver! I use it at home to do chores, when exercising, going food shopping.... It's also very comfy to wear. So, far its been one of the best purchases we've made!
