Editorial Review
Unlike some baby gear items that look cute but don't serve the most practical purposes, a front carrier will quickly become indispensable to parentsand that's moms and dads. The Snugli Comfort Vent Carrier is an affordable and entirely useful way to keep baby cozy and close to her favorite people in the world. Newborns face in, with their heads supported by a padded ventilated head-/back-rest that flips down when bigger babies are ready to turn around and face the world. Parents' hands are free to shop, walk, do chores, or just twiddle their thumbs. Tuck a tiny diaper, keys, wallet, and cell phone in the zipper panel, and you're ready to break out of cabin fever mode. With padded AutoFit criss-crossing back straps, the carrier automatically adjusts to fit five-foot tall Mom one minute and six-foot tall Dad the next. One of the best features is the dual side-entry buckles that open with one hand, allowing parents to ease a sleeping baby out without removing the entire contraption. Wipe or machine wash. Note: although the weight limits are 7 to 26 pounds, most parents will be ready to move on to other means of transporting baby well before the upper limit. --Emilie Coulter

Summary: Great value 2007-08-28
Comment: This is a great carrier, fantastic value for the price. It seems like baby is very comfortable in it as she usually goes to sleep as soon as I put it on, even if she's in a bad mood - in fact I first started using it in an attempt to calm her down as when she really gets going, the only thing that will calm her down is being held and after a couple of hours you get tired! It's great for quick trips to the local stores or to wear around the house if she's cranky as she loves the closeness and the constant motion. I've been using it since she was about 7lbs, she's now near 10lbs and there seems to be plenty of room yet for growth. It's comfortable for me to wear to even with an old shoulder injury, though you have to adjust the parent straps correctly otherwise baby will hang too low giving you a backache, but that's easily fixed. It's easy to get her in and out, the only downside is the front pocket is too small and tight fitting to be any good for anything at all - I wouldn't recommend using it for bulky things like keys as they'll dig into baby - but that's what diaper bags are for isn't it!

Summary: Great for infant 2007-04-15
Comment: My son grows fast. Today he is 7 weeks old and over 15 lbs. We decided to try put him in the Snugli on his father. He was crying before he was lifed up by using the Snugli, then he immediately stopped crying and soon found himself a comfortable position then went to sleep. :) My husband loves to wear it as well so he just hold his son with Snugli at home. I will try it on next time as well.

Summary: Good for the price 2007-04-11
Comment: This is a good carrier for the price, since you won't be able to get as much use out of it as some of the other carriers. I got this to use for a plane trip to India from Memphis. I went alone and we're talking 48 hours of travel time, about half of that in different airports. If I wasn't on the plane, feeding my son, or changing him, he was in the carrier. This was great in the fact that I could carry two diaper bags and a rolling suitcase throughout the airport without any problem. It was also great for using the bathroom. I really didn't have a problem with him bouncing around while walking, but that may have been because he was such a big baby. Another plus was that while in India, we used the carrier as a kind of car seat, since most cars don't have seat belts. When in India, we couldn't walk around outside too much in the carrier since it was in the 80's and my son would get too hot. After the trip, he couldn't hardly fit in the carrier anymore. He was 14 lbs at 3 months and his legs would and torso would barely fit in the carrier. His arms fit through the holes just fine, but I would have to push them toward the back of the carrier in order to not rest on the hard plastic connectors. All in all, the carrier was a good purchase for me since I was only planning to use the carrier for a short time. If you want long term use, invest in a better product.
