The Frame Carrier FC 1.0 is suitable for children who can sit up by themselves. A lightweight aluminum frame provides solid support to the Frame Carrier FC 1.0, enabling it to carry up to 50 pounds, including your child, the carrier and gear. Though sturdy enough for overnight trips or rugged dayhiking, the Frame Carrier FC 1.0 is compact and lightweight enough for simple walks, errands and around-town travel. An auto-deploy kickstand maintains the Frame Carrier FC 1.0's sleek profile while providing a safe, stable base for loading and unloading your child. Together, the contoured and padded shoulder straps, a cushioned molded backpanel and a padded waistbelt make the Frame Carrier FC 1.0 comfortable to carry. The height of the waistbelt can be adjusted to accommodate torsos ranging from 16"-18". Load-lifter straps and a sternum strap further enhance fit and provide greater comfort. The padded child seat and 5-point harness ensure your child's safety and help to effectively distribute weight and balance the Frame Carrier FC 1.0 on your back. The height of the seat can be adjusted to account for the growth of your child. A compartment underneath the child seat provides 750 cubic inches of storage capacity. A zippered pocket on the waistbelt provides another storage option for valuables. Sewn-in carry handles make the Frame Carrier FC 1.0 easy to tote. Reflective highlights increase the visibility of the Frame Carrier FC 1.0. Summary: Convenient 2008-09-19
Comment: It was a convenient purchase for my camping trip with my son. I even was able to hike through the caves in south dakota with it and he had a blast! It did get a little uncomfortable after a couple hours of wear but throughout Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, and the Wind Caves it was perfect.

Comment: We just bought two of these packs for our 8 month twin boys. We use it for camping, hiking, parades, walks, and just about everything in between. These packs are light weight, very comfortable, and durable. They fit my frame (5'4", petite) and my husbands frame (6 ft., average). It is easy to get our boys in and out of these packs, and they usually fall asleep at some point while they're in it. We have the tangerine and the green, and the colors are great! I highly recommend these!
