To measure from shoulder to hip: use a soft tape measure and start at the outer corner of your shoulder and measure diagonally across your body down to your hip bone. The number (in inches) should be in the 20s. See size chart below for measurements & best fit. Summary: Love it 2007-07-03
Comment: This is the perfect carrier for my 5 month old daughter. She also likes the baby bjorn, but the hotsling lets her rest without having to hold her head up all of the time. It also provides more closeness between mom and baby. It is easy on my back and I feel totally comfortable in it. At 5 months, my daughter does not last more than an hour or two in it unless she is sleeping. She like to work her hands and feet too much. I can't wait until she is a little bigger and I can put her in the hip carry. I really wish that I would have had this when she was born. I highly recommend the hotsling and will get one for my friends who are pregnant.

Comment: I love my hotsling. I bought it when my 5 month old was getting too heavy to carry for very long. He is now over 20 lbs and I use it as a hip carrier all the time - watering the plants outside, walking on the beach, runnning into the grocery store for a few things, doing chores around the house. He loves it too. He is very content in it, and enjoys "participating" in my chores instead of being stuck in his exersaucer or highchair. It is a little pricey for a simple piece of material (why I didn't give it 5 stars), but it works, and I am happy with my purchase. Making sure you get the right size is crucial! I got a size 2 and probably could have gotten a size 1. But I washed it in hot water and put it in the dryer and now it is perfect.

Comment: purchased a hotsling just before i went on holiday. carried my 10 month old baby in this sling at the airport for almost 2 hours due to delays. Believe you me, did not feel any strain on my back. i was amazed!!!i have purchased 3 different baby carriers and maya sling, none of them comes close to the hotsling...very convenient,fits perfectly in my purse...love,love,love it!!!!!a must have....really get your moneys worth.

Comment: A very convenient way to have the baby with me while I do some things around the house, eat a meal or check my email. She just snoozes away in her cozy position. The only thing I would like to change is the elasticity of the fabric. I wish it was more stretchy and breathable for the coming seasons. Otherwise, it's easy to fit in the diaper bag, matches my clothes and works great.

Comment: i have a 3 week old baby who LOVES this sling. i read so many reviews and was so torn between all the different brands and styles of slings but finally decided on this one because it's so simple. i got the smaller size (i was between a size 2-3 on their sizing chart) due to other users' comments about their slings being too large. at first it seemed too small but once it got my son into it, it fit perfectly. (note: my son was a little over 6 pounds at birth, so if your baby is big you might need a larger size.) i don't worry about it falling off when i walk around with him in it and i was able to get him into it by myself, without even waking him up! other times i've put him in it while he's awake and within 5 minutes, he's asleep. it's a little harder to get him OUT without waking him up but i'm still practicing that. otherwise, it's a great, simple sling without all the bells and whistles of other slings (adjustable rings, pockets to hold things, etc.). a little on the pricey side for how simple it is, but it works great and i would buy one again.
