Summary: Hotslings are one-handed 2007-07-13
Comment: We bought this for both my husband and I to use. I weight 138, am 5'6" and a DD, so I'm more of a size 3 than a 4. He's 170#, 6'1" and seems to struggle with fitting our son in, I think having a longer torso. The company on their website really stresses a good fit. I think ideally I might be a 3 but a 4 works somewhat. Initially I didn't think it did. I've also found practice is helpful and that you really need to view this as a ONE HANDED sling, you can take your hands off but for you to feel secure you'll want one hand on. But it's very similar to feeling like you're holding them, except you can hold them much longer. At times it seems my son is crammed into the sling but usually settles after a few minutes. I like to use it if we do some shopping for the day so he's not sitting in that car seat the whole time. My husband notices that he slides down, I think the key is that you have to not allow it to do so. All in all a good product, although when you look at what it consists of, it would seem that you should be able to make it, but if the fit isn't right it wouldn't be right, so I guess the price is what it is!

Comment: Boaz, it sounds like your sling is too big. It should be handsfree & shouldn't require too much adjusting.
I LOVE this sling!!! I have tried over 5 brands of pouch slings and hotlsings are by far my favorite! Comfort, style, ease of use, durability, it doesn't get much better!

Summary: not for more than 1 hour walk 2007-05-14
Comment: When I bought it my daughter was 3.5 month old and she hated it (no matter what position I put her in). After 2-3 minutes of being in this sling she started to cry. My daughter always was very tall and slim (on the 97 percentile for her height)
Now when she is 7M old she's ok with it - I think that both of us like the feeling of "a hug" that this sling gives, BUT, it is not comfortable.
It feels like it is almost falling of my shoulder when she's on the hip position, and I need to adjust it often. In other positions (that I think that she is too big for) it is better.
There is also the thing with the fabric, I have the fabric with the espresso color, and even after one use it somehow collects dust or I don't know what, but it looks as if I have a cat and all of its hairs are on it (which I don't).
On the up side - it can fold realy small and easy to take with the straller - and use when needed.
