Summary: Never used it 2007-02-19
Comment: We bought this at BJ's wholesale thinking it would be a nice way to carry our new baby girl. Absolutely awful - bulky, awkward and, most importantly, our daughter only screamed for the <5 minutes we ever had her in it. VERY UNHAPPY BABY. Our advice is get a peanut shell or a hotsling and don't waste your money on this.

Summary: We hated it. 2007-02-10
Comment: Not only was it uncomfortable for me (Mom), but my daughter would scream when I put her in this sling whether she was content or not. A friend loaned me her Moby Wrap to try and it was incredibly comfortable, and if my daughter was crying, it would soothe her. She loved it! Plus, you can use it from newborns to toddlers instead of just newborns. I bought two. Don't buy the infantino sling. It's not worth it.

Summary: not what I expected 2007-02-08
Comment: Got this sling at my baby shower - have tried to use several times - it smothers my baby even at 6 months. When I first tried it around 1 month 21" 8# he was smothered in it. It would wrap completly around him and dangerously bent his head down to his chest. I never really felt comfortable that he was secure - even with the belt inside - it swings around as I walk even with the shoulder strap pulled up tight. I've tried it a few times since and it's just WAY too big even at 6 months - 27" and 13# and uncomfortable after only a few minutes. I ended up purchasing a Hotsling and absolutely LOVE it - he doesn't get lost in it and it's much more versitle for positioning once they can sit up - and my little one LOVES to sit up and look around.

Summary: Great for a newborn but they soon outgrow it. 2006-12-14
Comment: My newborns fell asleep in this pouch very easily, and it allowed me to carry them around with ease. However, they soon outgrew it, and it can't be used for upright carrying the way some other pouch slings can. It's good for newborns but don't expect to use it once the baby wants to sit up.

Summary: Convenient and safe but a little too stretchy 2006-12-04
Comment: My husband and I have both used this sling regularly with our baby from the time he was 1 month old; he's now 6 months and has pretty much outgrown it at 17 lbs. It's been a great way to get him to go to sleep when he's fussy, to wear him around while I do chores, and to take him to restaurants or coffee shops so he could sleep in my lap while I had my hands free to eat. I liked the fact that you have to strap the baby in; it made me feel more secure.
Now, the down side--It's important to wear the strap over the round part of your shoulder so you don't get sore as quickly. However, because the sling edges are elastic and stretchy, I found that no matter how tightly I cinched the sling (to have the baby as high up as possible) within 5 minutes he's be hanging downat or below my waist, and having his whole weight that low put a huge strain on my shoulder. So for long walks I preferred using a front pack, but this was still great for around the house or short trips, and the price was very reasonable.
