JJ Cole Premaxx Sling Carrier - New Edition Black/Gray

I've been using this sling since my baby was 2 weeks old. I am short and busty (5'3") and I have no problem using the sling. My husband is 6' and it adjusts perfectly for both of us. This sling is designed to put the baby into the fetal position, my son loves it. I wear it all the time and he falls asleep in it. He's now 4-1/2 months old, in a month I can use it as a hip carrier, but right now, he's still laying down in it. Like everything, it takes awhile for your baby to get used to something new. I live in downtown San Francisco, and it's not very baby friendly. The great part about this is that the baby is so well hidden that it looks like I'm just wearing a messenger bag. I feel alot safer than putting him in a stroller. Plus, you can fit diapers in the bottom zippered pocket, and your cell phone and keys in the top pocket. I was excited to use this sling when my son was a newborn but he hated it the moment I put him in it. I tried to use it repeatedly, but to no avail, so I gave up and figured I'd use it when the baby can hold his head up steadily.

Now I use the sling to carry the baby around on my hip since he can hold his head up and his back is much stronger at 5 1/2 mos. I do admit that I'm constantly rearranging him because the sling is just too long, as I agree with the reviewer who says "One Size Does Not Fit All". I'm 5'0" and have adjusted the strap to the very end. It's much easier for my husband to use & he thinks it's great.

It is a terrific update to the traditional baby slings, with small pockets for your essentials and smart looking colors, but I just wish that it was made with smaller & petite frames in mind.

I love this carrier. I also have a front style carrier, but this one is much easier on my back. My baby seems very comfortable, and I love that you can use it when they are older to carry them on your hip. This baby is my third, so I am always busy around the house and it is nice to keep the baby close while I am doing other things. And, the quality is very high and I know it will last through several kids.
