This hat is super adorable and fits our giant-headed 11 month old beautifully. The pattern is great and the fabric is super nice. It's much sturdier and thicker than the iPlay sun hats, and better looking, too. It looks like a little old man hat, which is fantastic. More importantly, it does the job of sun protection very well. The brim is wide enough to keep most sun out of his face. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star review was that the velcro strap is a bit of a joke. The tiny square of velcro is super weak and just does not stick at all, so my hat-averse kid rips it off about 20 times with each visit to the park. I'll be replacing the teeny square of velcro with a bigger strip of some actual Velcro brand velcro from the fabric store, and then I'll have the perfect hat til his head gets even bigger and I have to start all over again.
