Maya Wrap Lightly Padded Sling in Black

Comment: I am pleased with the Maya wrap thus far. To be fair, I haven't had my baby yet, but I was practicing with one of my cats, and it seems like it will be godsend (I'll have to update when I actually use it on my baby).

I like that it came not only with an instructional DVD, but with an insert that goes over all of the various ways to carry your baby. It was very easy to figure out, and seems like it is comfy (the cat in question weighs 16 pounds and it was much easier to hold her in the wrap than lug her around).

The wrap came pretty quickly and was packaged nicely in a reusable zipper bag, but the one thing I disliked was the overwhelming smell of patchouli! I opened the bag and nearly gagged. Luckily, since I had my cat in there, I was going to wash it anyway (it came pre-laundered in a dermatologist/pediatrician approved soap).

All in all, I am initially very pleased. I have a large bust (F cup pre-pregnancy), so I had to really shop around for something that would be comfy, but, unlike the Moby wrap (which was the most comfortable and supportive of all the slings I tried), wouldn't be oppressive in the heat of West Texas. Since the size runs by height, I will recommend that any large busted women go up a size (my height meant I should get a medium, so I got a large).

Comment: Excellent ring sling. The shoulder padding is great; you could where it for hours and not feel uncomfortable. I've been using it since my baby was 3wks., now she's 3mo. and loves it. Not only is it a good baby carrier but handy if you are nursing your child. I also love the convenient zipper pocket where you can put your keys/diaper/wallet or anything; good size.

Comment: I never leave reviews on products, but upon using the Maya Wrap, I loved it so much I had to share. We have tried several baby carriers. We love the Ergo for long walks and housework, but it's too bulky to travel with. The Moby was way to stretchy and complicated, and the Balboa could have been great, but my daughter kept sinking into the deep pouch. The Maya Wrap is just a great sling. The fabric is breathable, the pouch is adjustable to fit all different sizes of babies,and it's super comfy for both mom and baby. I still love my Ergo for long walks and heavier activity, but my Maya Wrap is spectacular for short trips and leisurely activity. Plus, it folds up small enough to fit nicely into a diaper bag or purse. I absolutely love the comfort and ease of use. I will be buying an few more of these for myself and friends!!!

Comment: This has been wonderful. My son is five months and there have been days when carrying him in this around the house was the only way he would calm down. I also use it walking around the market and shopping. He loves it and I do too! We can still use it for a long time to come.
