Product Description

Moby Wrap Baby Carriers are amazingly comfortable and easy to wear! The design of the Moby Wrap uses your entire back, as well as your shoulders, to carry the weight of your baby. Unlike other carriers, which have narrow straps or go across one shoulder, the Moby Wrap is a wide piece of fabric that is wrapped over both shoulders and tied on your waist. There are no buckles, snaps or other fasteners which make wearing simple. The Moby Wrap is long enough to fit all sizes of baby wearers and babies - preemie to 35 lbs. Instructional Booklet Included.

Summary: Don't give up on it! 2008-06-26
Comment: I just wanted to encourage buyers of the Moby Wrap.. not to give up. Because, once you get the hang of it, it's great.

I bought one.. and used it when my baby was only a few days old. It was great for quick walks. But when my husband bought a Baby Bjorn, I thought that was much easier. I began using the Bjorn, until my back started to kill.

I was researching other wraps, when another mom encouraged me to try again with the Moby wrap. (I quit using it because I was not comfortable carrying my baby in the "newborn hug hold" or "cradle hold" anymore, and it seemed like such a project to prepare the wrap, AND, I thought it would be really hot in the summer.)

But, after a few tries, I am hooked. Not only is it much more comfortable then the Bjorn, but it breathes better, and my baby will nap in it longer then the Bjorn. (Discovering the more advanced "hug hold" also helped a lot! My baby is still to little for many of the other positions.)

Most importantly, my back feels much better using it.

I just wanted to pass that on..
Because I almost gave up on it entirely, but it turned out to be a great buy, and I would recommend it. Again, just give yourself a chance to get used to it.. (the yards and yards of fabric are a bit daunting.)

And.. I would still recommend a Bjorn. We have the one with the back support, and my husband loves it. I tend to to think it's better for dads, as it uses more upper body strength.

Summary: Hands Free 2008-06-21
Comment: This product is great when you don't want to bring a big stroller or travel system around and when you want to do house work and be hands free. The only thing is it's too hot for summer for me. But I do use it occasionally, I'll surely use it for cooler weather.

Summary: Moby is great... for a little while 2008-06-18
Comment: My newborn absolutely loved his moby wrap. It was a total life saver while grocery shopping with my 2 1/2 year old and brand new baby. The indigo color is a nice light blue that matches pretty much anything.
The moby is a long piece of stretchy fabric that you tie onto your body and then "pop" your baby into. It comes with complete instructions, plus there is a lot of info on the internet to help you. Try using www.thebabywearer.com for information and support in using this and other carriers.
The only problem: After your baby hits about 15 lbs, the moby starts to stretch too much and becomes uncomfortable after a while. My son is only 2 months old and I've got to get him a different type of wrap (non-stretchy) because we've already outgrown the moby.
Even though you can't use it forever, I still would highly recommend a Moby wrap for anyone about to have a baby or looking for a baby shower gift.

Summary: Moby Wrap 2008-06-15
Comment: I love my moby. I actually bought 2 becasue 1 was always in the laundry. I can very easily carry by 1 year old in the Moby on my belly and my 4 year old in the Ergo (www.ergobaby.com) on my back if I need to get in and out with out having little fingers into everything. I have carried my own son and a friends child that I was sitting for very comfortably both in the Moby. Once you get used to how to tie it properly it is very fast adn easy. I love that I can totally cover my baby to make it dark adn quiet so he can nap while I carry on with life. When he was younger he would sleep in the Moby all covered up while I ate and nothing would ever spill on him. Overall I think it is a must have for parent who want to carry their child.
