Summary: LOVE IT!! 2010-08-30
Comment: After using over the shoulder baby holder sling, my new baby loved it, but my back did not! My 6 week old is a little fussy in the daytime, and I had her in the sling a lot of the day. I decided to try the Moby b/c unlike many other slings, you can carry the baby using both shoulders instead of one. I was afraid it would be difficult to tie, but it is a breeze! My hubby and I figured it out in less than 5 min and i carried my baby in it for hours! I was able to tie it and get our baby in it the next day by myself. My back doesn't hurt, and I can load the dishwasher, fold laundry, etc. totally hands free! And my baby is happy! As soon as she is in it securely, she stops crying, and will often fall asleep! Great value as well~I paid more for my over the shoulder baby holder sling, but this can be used many more different ways, and is MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE! I bought the child version for my 7 yr old twins, and they can tie their babydolls in it by themselves! If a 7 yr old can figure it out, I would think any adult can!

Summary: Too hot for summer, but great support and no back pain! 2010-08-29
Comment: After watching my friend tie her Moby on 2-3 times, I was all set. It seems more confusing than it really is. I find the Moby more supportive than a one-shouldered carry like a pouch-carrier and there's no doubt this blows the ubiquitous Baby Bjorn out of the water (yes, even the one with the 'new' back support panel on it. Three words: Does.Not.Work). Wraps are so supportive because they use the whole carrier to brace the cloth around your hips and don't pull on your shoulders or back if you arrange it properly. The only reason I gave this four stars is because it is incredibly hot to wear in the /spring summer or in warm climates because of all the fabric wrapped around you and the baby (but great in winter). They have light-weight wraps out there for a modified wrap-carry that can be worn in warmer weather.
Also, once your child reaches 18-20 lbs. they start to pull on the stretchy fabric and its time to move on to a 'woven wrap' which doesn't have as much 'give' but allows you to wear a child till at least 45 lbs. and even do back carries.
As an aside, I learned to use a wrap long before having kids and the gratified moms I babysat for loved having a sitter that wore their kids too! A huge plus with 'wearing' any baby/kid is that I had less crying and got more exercise than my friends did at their babysitting jobs :) Please don't pass up a great carrier because it only *looks* too complicated; there are babywearing groups all over the country (and world) that are happy to show you the ropes! I learned a TON from [...] . The forums there answer any question under the sun whether you're a newbie to baby wearing or an old pro wanting to learn more about a new carrier or expanding your 'stash.'

Summary: I love this product! 2010-08-28
Comment: This is my first review of an item ever. I am writing it because I am absolutely in love with the moby wrap. Before I had my son, I searched for a carrier and saw the moby wrap. I decided I could make one in a DIY project. Two months after my son was born I broke down and spent the $ to purchase this wrap. Although it is just a simple piece of cloth, the material, design, and hours of use you will hopefully getout of this product make it well worth the money. My son is now 2 years old and about 30lbs. We just did a 4 mile walk in a national park with him on my back in the moby wrap. I am short in stature (just under 5' tall). While expensive carriers are nice (especially the extra backpack space and ability to easily take on and off), I simply could not have used one for this hike without aching both during and after. I have not found a carrier that can distribute the weight as good as the moby wrap. It still feels almost as effortless to carry my son as when he was just born... and it is certainly just as priceless! Be patient with learning the different methods of wrapping your baby and you will fall in love with this product too! Of all the baby products I have purchased in 2 years this is definitely my favorite. A great and unique shower gift, as well. (And no, I do not work for moby wrap -- I'm just a very satisfied customer!)

Summary: Love it! 2010-08-25
Comment: I was a little nervous ordering this because of reviews saying how difficult it was to get on...I must say it was a cinch! It's very easy to put on (read the directions once and had it down). My baby LOVES it. He was a preemie so he loves being held tight and hanging out in the sling. I've only tried one hold so far but I'm excited to try all the others. Great for walks and getting stuff done around the house. Highly recommended!!!

Summary: not practical 2010-08-24
Comment: It's useful in the house, but not practical for anything else. If I wear it out on a walk with the baby, we are both sweating (i tend to be cold, but there really is a lot of fabric!). I can't use it outside the house because it drags on the floor when you are trying to put it on (which can be difficult by yourself as it is). But if you are in your clean air-conditioned house, it is useful especially for newborns. My two month old does not like it unless she is nursing to sleep, but then I always wake her up getting her out! So, useful but in limited settings.
