Summary: Great carrier 2007-06-28
Comment: The carrier is very travel friendly. I sing "Goin Bye Byes" from Baby clean Fun (www.babycleanfun.com) to my 8 month old as I load her in the carrier to take a walk. It fits in my diaper bag very easily. There are tons of ways to position your baby too.

Summary: A waste of money 2007-06-11
Comment: I should have listen to my wife and get the baby bjorn instead...this thing is a total waste of money. My baby would cry when I try to put her in there...the pouch seems small and I feel as though the baby will suffocate. So, we never even use it...it's now sitting at the corner of my desk. I now use it as a dirt cloth. Got the baby bjorn and can't wait for its delivery.

Summary: I'd be lost without it! Simply an essential in our family! 2006-09-02
Comment: These slings have been an essential part of being parents. Both my husband and I use New Native slings on a daily basis. We've been 'wearing' our daughter since day one and continue to now that she is three months. This helped me tremendously in getting to 'know' my baby. It allows me to be responsive immediately to her needs because I can read her cues before she gets to a full blown cry. It helps me accomplish tasks around the house and makes shopping/running errands easy. We do not even own the detachable infant carseats. I cannot imagine having to lug one of those things around! I feel like this had helped her transition from her womb environment to the outside world. It gives her a sense of security even in new situations. Unlike front facing carriers, she can turn her head into our chests if she feels insecure or overstimulated. There are endless benefits to 'wearing' your baby and I feel like this sling has made it incredibly easy for me and my husband to do so. There are no buckles or rings or fasteners, just slide it on.
If at first you don't succeed, try again later. It may be more comfortable for you and baby at a different stage. Another tip, get moving! The motion is what soothes babies and brings them comfort.
Again, baby wearing is such a wonderful thing. I suggest you read up on the benefits and find a sling/carrier that works well for you.
We recommend this one to all new parents and have never had anyone complain!

Summary: Waste of Money 2006-08-24
Comment: I agree with the two previous reviews, the small infant is engulfed in fabric and it doesn't seem safe. A larger child doesn't seem to fit. Also, everytime we squeezed my newborn into the carrier, he had a diaper blow out, probably due to the strange angle he was arranged in. And, the merchant that sells this product for Amazon doesn't accept returns. Buyer beware.

Summary: very disappointing 2006-01-30
Comment: I thought this would be a wonderful way to carry my son around during the first few months. He was completely engulfed in the fabric and I was worried that he may suffocate. Then when he got bigger, I couldn't figure out how to get him into it properly. He was either about to fall out or would have his face smashed against the carrier. The Baby Bjorn was much better.
