Summary: Great infant carrier! 2007-12-31
Comment: I love this carrier. It is so simple to use and so small you can take it anywhere. At first I had one that was a little too big and it was uncomfortable and slid down my shoulder. I just followed the instructions to make it a little smaller (the next size down was too small) and it worked great. My daughter LOVED it when she was a baby. I'm expecting my second child in a couple of weeks and am planning to use it extensively with him as well. I also have the Ellaroo wrap which is nice but much more trouble and a baby bjorn- also nice, but I prefer the snuggle factor of the new native.

Summary: Great carrier 2007-01-13
Comment: I love this carrier. My baby likes to sit on my hip and this carrier supports her weight and stabilizes her so that I can get some things done and still carry her around.

I found that I needed a size smaller than what was suggested, but all-in-all this is a very comfortable carrier and the fabric is breathable, unlike the Baby Bjorn that I was using, which she would sweat in and could only face my chest or forward and could not be used on the hip.[...]

Summary: My daughter really enjoys it 2006-12-21
Comment: I bought one of these when I was pregnant w/ my second. My first child was 20 months old when she was born so I wanted to have my hands free for him as much as possible.
I was able to use it quite a bit when she was a newborn. I think the only time it didn't calm my daughter down was when we flew from AZ to Japan and during one layover she was 3 1/2 months old and VERY cranky after 14 hours of flying. At that point nothing made her happy. Aside from that, I was often able to just put her in the sling from the time she was a few days old.
She's now 2 and loves to be carried in it on my hip..though we don't do that too often. My son 3 1/2 loves to ride on my hip too, but he's getting too big for it and it hurts to carry him much.
We took the kids to Disneyland Tokyo and my daughter, at 19 months, she was easy to carry in the sling when she was tired and needed a nap and big brother was sleeping in the stroller.
I am pregnant w/ #3 and I can't wait to put this new baby in this sling and wear her/him too. I have had several comments on this and have had quite a few people go out and buy one after seeing how easy it is to use.

Summary: not for me 2006-12-13
Comment: I could never quite figure this one out....either the baby seemed squished up in a ball, or I was uncomfortable. Maybe I just had the wrong size.

Summary: A MUST HAVE!!! 2006-09-24
Comment: We have been wearing our daughter since she arrived home from the hospital. As I type this, she is nestled in this very sling- sound asleep!
Baby wearing is vital for us, and we never have to use her car seat in the stores as I just put her in her sling. So often, people do not even know I have a baby in there! I am able to nurse in public and nobody knows. Our baby loves this sling and my husband uses it as well. He complained at first when he was told that I bought it about the cost and the fact that we would never use it. He recalls this and adds sheeplishly now, "I don't know what we'd do without it." When our baby fusses, I put her in her sling, get moving and she is asleep. It is easy to use, to learn to use, and comfy for mom, dad, and baby!

For newborns, you are going to want to use a receiving blanket behind them- we did in the beginning but no longer need to now.
