It took me a while to get the hang of it but it was worth it. My baby is ten months old and we still use it when I don't feel like bringing along the stroller or when he feels like being close to me. He can even fall asleep in it when we're out and about. Definitely a great item to have in your car for unexpected outings and for travel. It's compact, easy to clean, and safe to use. Watch the video provided for all the different uses. The first was a hotsling that was too small. It really made me hate trying to wear my baby. I decided on the ring sling becasue it can fit both me and my husband. It also seems a little more secure as I can adjusted for postioning. Some days and certain positions I need her to be tighter then others so with the ring sling I can do this.
