Great for both Mom and Dad-The tail of the sling is long enough to allow large people to wear it, while lack of padding allows it to be tightened enough for smaller people. Adustable- Each edge of the Maya Wrap Sling can be adjusted independently, allowing a perfect custom fit. Perfect for Nursing-Mom can drape the tail over her shoulder for complete coverage. Safe- The fabric and rings have been tested and can withstand in excess of 100 lbs. 1) my baby calms down right away when she's carried in it. 2) she doesn't get scared of strangers when we visit new people or go to a party (she's in the middle of the stranger anxiety phase). 3) Most of all it helps nursing really discretely in public without ovrheating my baby. I loved that it was light weight, VERY versatile, and easy to stuff in diaper bag for longer trips. It took some practice to get it down, but I would never switch. My son is 19 months now & we use it for a hip carrier. I have seen it used for a back carrier too. My son is CLINGY, he wants to be carried ALL the time when we go out. This makes us both a lot more happy! I will re-state, it takes practice to get it figured out, but it is extremely versatile. Go to a La Leche league meeting and someone there will easily be able to give you pointers. 15 of 20 people found the following review helpful:  second best, By This review is from: Original Maya Wrap Sling (Not Padded)-Bright Stripes (Baby Product) I have both the maya wrap and the moby wrap, and all i have to say is that the people who love the maya wrap are the ones who have not yet tried a moby wrap. the moby wrap is better hands down. it holds my baby MUCH more secure than the maya and i can hold her in many more position. the moby supports on both shoulders unlike the maya and i would recommend the moby without a doubt to people. so if you read this and you're trying to decide between the two, GET THE MOBY! |
