This a well designed carrier, however, it's much larger than what we were looking for. We were after a carrier that would be useful for errands around town, in addition to hikes. Our current Baby Bjorn is getting a little small. I compared the sizes of the escape vs. metro, and in terms of size they were nearly identical. The escape does weigh more, but it has more features, so we opted to give it a shot over the metro.

This carrier seems as though it would be good for long hikes, but it's too big and bulky to be used around town or shopping. We ended up going with the Little Lifes Traveler S2 instead, love it, it's perfect for around town and our 10 month old daughter is excited to get into it.
