Then, the weight and positioning of the backpack pulled at my neck and shoulders. A simple 4 mile hike resulted in days of pain and stiffness. I also stopped having enough space to put the essentials once my son needed solids.
So, I bit the bullet and researched and decided on this Sherpani Superlight. I chose it because of the comfort straps (both at the shoulders and around the waist), the higher weight limit, and the cargo space. The stability of this pack on the ground is amazing, but the weight distribution on a hike is the absolute best reason to own this backpack. My son is 27 pounds now, and falls asleep on longer hikes. He always leans over to one side when he sleeps, which can be miserable on your body.
